Scholarships (and college applications) often ask for the same types of information over and over. You can minimize the amount of time and energy spent on applications if you have some basic, standard information already developed and saved on a computer.
To view .doc documents you must have installed Microsoft Word. A free office suite called Open Office may also be able to open these files. It may be downloaded free from their website.
